Open to all Fillies, Colts, Mares, Geldings & Stallions
Why?
- Show case of your horses talent.
- Help breeders, owners and potential owners interested in Traditional Gypsy Cobs to discover the consistently successful bloodlines in the breed. The aim is to highlight not only the achievement of individual ponies, but to link these to their sires and dams and/or progeny.
- Compulsory to Show Stallions in TGCA Affiliated Classes.

- Youngstock (1-3yrs)
- Senior In-hand (4yrs & over) Only – Required to compete In Hand Classes
- Ridden (4yrs & over) Only – Required to compete Ridden Classes
- Senior In-hand (4yrs & over) & Ridden (4yrs & over) Combined Evaluation – Required to compete In Hand & Ridden Classes
Traditional Part Bred
- Youngstock (1-3yrs)
- Senior In-hand (4yrs & over) Only
- Ridden (4yrs & over) Only
- Senior In-hand (4yrs & over) & Ridden (4yrs & over) Combined
Breed Grading Evaluation

- To encourage the preservation and breeding of the best Traditional Gypsy Cobs.
- Stallions/Mares recognised as being of a high standard to Breed from/with.
- Single year-dated and numbered Covering Certificates.
- Compulsory to advertise your stallion at stud as TGCA Grade Evaluated.

These classes will be judged as a show ring format, so please ensure you and your horse are turned out as such.

150 POINTS FOR EACH CHAMPIONSHIP GAINED IN EACH DISCIPLINE SECTION
100 POINTS EACH 1ST PLACE AT NOTED DISCIPLINES
For other disciplines not listed subject to prior approval, we may issue 50 points for a 1st place
For all other wins please record on one of our extra sheets and keep with this book, as record for their portfolio.
TO OBTAIN STAR IN A SPECIFIC DISCIPLINE YOU WILL NEED TO ACHIEVE 1000 PTS.

- JUMPING & X COUNTRY
Shows that qualify are:
TOYS OPEN, BSJA, BRITISH EVENTING, TGCA AFFILIATED CLASSES
- HUNTING
Shows that qualify are:
MINIMUM OF 20 DAYS from start of season through to end of season
- DRIVING
Shows that qualify are:
BRITISH DRIVING SOCIETY WINS
- Le TREC
Shows that qualify are:
Affiliated Le Trec events
